PMRA Seeks Host for 2028 Conference
The Public Management Research Association invites U.S. institutions to submit proposals by November 1, 2026.
The Public Management Research Association (PMRA) is now accepting proposals from U.S. institutions interested in hosting the 2028 Public Management Research Conference (PMRC) — the premier gathering of public management scholars and practitioners in the United States and around the world. The PMRC brings together leading researchers, educators, and public sector professionals to share innovative work, advance the field, and build connections across the public management community. Recent conferences have welcomed more than 450 registrants, approximately 30 to 35 percent of whom are PhD students.
Interested institutions are invited to submit a comprehensive proposal addressing conference logistics, facilities, budget, graduate student support, technology infrastructure, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Full proposal requirements and the budget template are available through the PMRA application portal.
Proposal submissions are due November 1, 2026. The PMRA Board will review all submissions and notify applicants of its decision in December 2026.
