What are PMRA's membership types and dues?

PMRA offers three membership types: Regular, Student, and Retiree. Dues below are effective January 1, 2027. See everything membership includes on the Member Benefits page.

What time period does a membership cover?

All memberships run on the calendar year, from January 1 through December 31. If you join on or after November 1, you pay the full-year rate and your membership runs through December 31 of the following year.

Are membership payments refundable?

No. Under PMRA policy, all membership payments are non-refundable. Once a payment is processed, no refunds are issued. Questions? Contact us at [email protected].

What's the difference between creating an account and becoming a member?

A free PMRA account lets you post job opportunities, share announcements, receive PMRA's Weekly Newsletter, and view forum discussions.

Membership unlocks the full range of benefits, including access to PMRA's journals, JPART and PPMG, discounted registration for the Public Management Research Conference, eligibility for PMRA awards, and the ability to post in forum discussions.

How do I access JPART and PPMG as a member?

Log in and go to Member Home, under the Home menu or in Quick Links. The journal access links are there. Learn more about both journals on our Journals page.

Where can I find my invoices?

Log in to your member profile and go to Member Home > My Profile > Invoices.

Announcements

What are PMRA Announcements for?

PMRA Announcements share news, events, and updates relevant to the public management community, including conferences, workshops, publications, and other professional opportunities that support research and practice.

Announcements are for non-job news only. Job opportunities belong on the Job Board.

Do I need to be a member to post an announcement?

No. You only need a free PMRA account.

How do I submit an announcement?

Complete the Announcement Submission Form.

How do I manage my announcement subscriptions?

Go to Member Home > My Profile > Settings.

Conference

Do I need to be a member to submit a proposal to the Public Management Research Conference?

No. Anyone can submit a proposal to PMRC. If your proposal is accepted, PMRA members receive discounted conference registration.

Forums

What are the PMRA Forums for?

The Forums are a space for members to discuss ideas, share insights, explore emerging topics, and connect with peers in public management research.

Do I need to be a member to post in the forums?

Posting is reserved for PMRA paid members and conference attendees. Anyone with a PMRA account can read forum conversations.

How do I manage my forum subscriptions?

Go to Member Home > My Profile > Settings.

Job Board

What is the PMRA Job Board for?

The Job Board is where organizations and institutions share career opportunities in public management and related fields. It connects employers with an engaged community of scholars, practitioners, and students.

Do I need to be a member to post a job?

No. You only need a free PMRA account.
